a priority giving category is the type of charitable organization that you want to give to. these range from animal welfare to education to international relations. it's the overall category that the organization you want to support. if you want to support your local museum, choose Arts & Culture, if you want to promote wind power, choose energy conservation & sustainable living as one of your categories.

we encourage you to pick only 3 categories so that you can focus your giving efforts. we also encourage giving to as many organizations as you want inside these categories.  our philosophy is different. to make a difference you need to be committed to achieving a goal or solving a problem not a particular organization. we encourage you to support organizations that you think are doing a good job. if an organization does live up to your standards, then find another one that does. by categorizing your giving you are more likely to stick with it and make a real difference.
